2015 Hatchback Bumper Restoration
I bought a used 2015 Mazda 3 i Sport last year, and everything runs great. But when I bought it, I noticed some striping (I guess thats what I'd call it) and fading on the rear plastic bumper cover. I would like to remove the bumper and either replace it or restore it.
I have found videos of people restoring plastic trim by either using a heat gun, but I'm not really a big fan of this method. I would rather paint it, or just replace it with an OEM bumper. According to carparts.com I can pick up a bumper cover for under $150. Which seems like a very affordable option. But... is it too good to be true?
Does anyone have any experience removing or restoring the rear plastic bumper on a Mazda 3 Hatchback? Hopefully in the 2014-Present years? If not, does anyone have any links to previous threads, videos, or blogs? Does anyone know where to find a guide on how to safely remove and re-install the bumper? Thanks!
