2011 hesitant overdrive shift
Good morning all,
Just recently the transmission has been giving me delayed shifts into overdrive. It happens more times when its just after starting up or a cold transmission. The car usually tachs at about 2K when running at about 60mph. It has about 140K on the car as far as mileage and the car has never given me a problem.
I replaced the tranny filter and fluid like 20K miles ago. I used the Mazda fluid as well. It shifts great everywhere, manual as well as automatic, but just recently when cold, it struggles sometimes to get into OD. It also seems if I stomp on the gas when it is taching at 3500rpm trying to get into OD, it will shift then into OD. Its like its a lack of pressure thing thats keeping it from shifting.
Any ideas? I know there is a bank of solenoids on the bottom of the valve body. Maybe the solenoid responsible for taking care of the OD shift is getting tired?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Sid
