2009 Mazda3 Question

Hello - I’m going to look at and potentially purchase a 1-owner 2009 Mazda3 iSport sedan with the 2.0 and manual transmission. The car has 100k on the clock but has meticulous maintenance records with the past owner servicing the vehicle every 5k at a local dealership. This will be a second vehicle used mainly for highway/turnpike commute. I’ve looked at going the Civic/Corolla route but can’t seem to find a car with the “pedigree” this one has. My question is... are there any specific reliability issues I should be concerned about? Thanks!

I had a 2009 Mazda3 i Touring Value Edition 5-Speed; the only issue I ever had was the crappy gear lube Mazda puts in the transmission. I swapped it over to ACDelco Synchromesh Friction Modified and the tranny shifted like butter until well past the 100,000 mile mark.

Not sure on the USA market, but Pre-facelift BL's are known for the ABS Unit failing.
