I'm having some problems installing a aftermarket cruise control in my 09 mazda 3, if anyone has any knowlage\experance with Rostra cruise kits, I would greatly apperaciate the info.

Where are you located? If your 3 has drive by wire throttle (most major countries have this) then you can add the OEM cruise by replacing two parts in your car. All you need is a replacement brake switch, and replacement steering wheel controls with the cruise switches. IIRC if bought new they run around $200 for both parts, but you can probably find the parts used from a junk yard or ebay, etc.

.... and given that your link was to a drive-by-wire kit I'm assuming you have it. Just get the OEM parts and you'll be good to go.

Thanks for the reply but I took a second look at the instructions and realized I'm an idiot
Btw the kit cost about $140 and took around 2 hours to put in. The only downside is the controls are on the steering column instead of the wheel

To each their own. I've seen many people find the parts used for <$50.
