Default 2008 mazda 3 engine dies intermittently

Hello all, have a 2008 3 standard (wife's car). After driving for a while..at least 15 min so far...it will intermittently die or fail to start after shutting off. It cranks fine but will not turn over. After sitting for a while, it starts again and seems fine. I suspect a fuel issue, maybe fuel pump or relay but before I can check it it has fixed itself. I replaced the pump about 6 months ago as well and put a new filter in it. There is no engine light or code or stored code in the computer. Any help appreciated. Its 100000 degrees here now so the less time I have to screw with it the better.

Can you read live data when reading fault codes?
