Unhappy 2008 3i Manual Sputtering after 02 sensor replacement

Friends,

I am brand new to this forum but and am hoping you guys can provide some insight as to what is going on before I take it in. A few months ago my engine light came on, i purchased a bluetooth scanner to read the code. The code that was thrown was to sensor 1 bank two code for the 02 sensor. I bought an amazon replacement installed it, reset the ecu (unsure if i that was required) and the light went off. A few weeks later the light came back on and I ran the scanner again, to have the same code being thrown at me. Me thinking it was a problem with the connection to the harness, made sure all the connectors were fully seated. All that to no avail. For the past month or two sometimes the light will be when i start it, and sometimes it will be off. I can feel in the way the engine is running that the light is going to turn on or off. These are all fine, other than the poor MPG i could deal with the faulty, sometimes working sometimes now, 02 sensor.

Recently a new problem came up. When in gear at around 1k-3k rpm and accelerating i have a jerking/ sputtering that is jarring when driving. I haven't had it completely die on me... yet, but at idle rpms dip the jump from 500-1200 (roughly) I ran the scanner again recently and I am getting two codes, the low voltage one from before and a new high voltage code from the same sensor??? From what i am reading some people suggest MAF sensor, but i have seen people have mixed results.

Anyone familiar with this issue? did i just get a faulty 02 sensor? I have a yet to play with the other PID's in the scanner app because i don't really know what to look for to further diagnose this issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.
