When I start my Mazda3 my wipers run through about 5+ cycles. It will stop at anytime event half mast.
Also, if I attempt to hit the wiper switch up once to do 1 cycle it will run through 5+ instead.

Originally I thought it was the Wiper Switch. I replaced the switch and I'm still experiencing the same problem.

Any other suggestions?

This is a 2007 Mazda3 S 2.3L with 100k miles.

EDIT:
Started the car with no wiper switch installed
Results: When the car was started, the wipers still turned on and went through multiple cycles.(exactly like original problem.)
