Hi...So I purchased my 05 3s 2.3L (w/manaul tranny) about 4 years ago..and for the past 3 years my car has been sitting...The car only had 30,000 miles on it when the engine failed. It was taken to a repair shop which told me I had engine failure due to a recall not being performed..basically to make long story short..purchased the "rebuild" kit from mazda so I could have the engine rebuilt (since after a year of battling with Mazda to fix the car with no luck) but now need the torque specs for the mains, rods and head and Mazda will not provide this information but keep telling me that my motor is a zero-tolerance motor and cannot be rebuilt (but yet offer to sell me a reman motor..hmmmmm) From what I have been told, my motor was only offered in the 04-05 3s models, so finding a replacement has been difficult unless I want one with over 100k miles on it..so if anyone can help provide the torque specs for the mains, rods and head..it would be so appreciated...want my car back on the road! (Also, its the manual tranny..seems to be different so Ive been told)
