QUESTION: Is there supposed to be a coin traymabob where your left knee is? I just bought an 07 Mazda3 hatch & after weeks of driving I discovered a little nook next to my left knee, I figured its probably for a cointray? but no tray...just a hole with a missing tray?

If anyone can confirm this perhaps I can find out where I can find a replacement for this missing cointray?

 

I put my wallet in there, and no you are not missing a part. If you feel up at the top of it there is a plug in there also.

 

Alot of newer cars have those, it is a neat place to put the plug for the computer though.

The thing is, its not really big enough for anything other than a wallet or something of the sort.

 

My guess is that plug is for the code reader.

Yes. That is where the OBDII port is located, so be careful what and how you put things in that cubbie so as not to damage it.

I DID feel something at the top..that makes sense. Now, to figure out how I can put good use to this new found cubbie hole...if I smoked that WOULD be an awesome place to put cigarettes. I suppose tictacs will just have to do for now. Thank you thank you.
