Wifes car. Only 80k car sits for intermittently for long periods of time. Over the summer, wife was driving the car and the engine shut down while at a stop light. She couldn't get the car started. I noticed the shifter was very "sticky". With more than usual resistance. I put the car in neutral and then it started fine. Drove it home and it pretty much sat up until now. I'm getting around to looking at it. I notice after I put the car in park that the "P" on the cluster doesn't light up, and it will not start sometimes in this gear... But the car is in park. Looking for others that may have a similar issue. It's a great commuter car and Id like to save it.

 

I got to say I'm stuck here in a parking lot with my Mazda 3. I've been here about 20 minutes struggling to get my car into gear.
