This is just in, not completely bare, esp the front fascia, but the side lines and rear are there. Enjoy.

Twin tails!! 'Course like the 6 series, that means that the cost of cat-backs will go up @ least $100.
And nick. I hope you're kidding?

It might be a cost saving move on Mazda's part also Richard, maybe the same as the M6 rear exhaust.

Looks a little goofy to me. Hope it's better in the "flesh". I just hope they offer more engine.......(a small V6 of 2.0 to 2.5 L would do it) or get rid of some weight. That would push it closer to perfection. They did that with the Mx6 - several years of offering a turbo 4 then a beautiful 2.5L short stroke V6 in a 2775lb chassis in 93 - pure heaven!

I'm from theColan Chapman/Lotus school myself. LIGHTEN IT UP!! Losing 400 lbs. would do wonders for the 3.

The 3's payload is about 850lbs, which is not whole lot. you load 5 adults in the car, you'd have a better chance to exceed that, not to mention lugage. this might be a results of weight reduction. I really don't want my car to be as light as a leaf, how to you handle cross wind and a big truck passing can throw you off track. It's not worth it just for saving a bit on MPG to risk losing control of the car......think about it, let say if you drive your can for 10 years for a total of 200,000 miles,
30MPG over 29 MPG will only save you $920 ($4/gallon). Is your life worth more than that?

That's good info Win, but if aerodynamically designed properly I don't see cross wind as being an issue. Now a VW Bus......[&o] Like driving a barn door in the wind. It was it's own sail!!!
My '80 Civic HB weighed in @ just under 1 ton w/o me (145lbs.) onboard... 1973 lb curb weight IIRC, and that car was great in anything but snow and ice. It was terrible in the slippery stuff.
My old 144S Volvo sedan was only about 250-300 lbs heavier than that and they were built for snow and ice. Once I tightened everything up for performance reasons it wasn't so great, but before I could go anywhere a4WDsmall truck could.
Besides, I'm older now and live in Texas. We don't get much snow/icy weather around here. And if we do I just stay home like most othersmart people. It's the dumb ones that "try it." :D:D:D
