Will there new a new Mazda 2 similar to the new Mazda 3
I'm really tempted by the new Mazda 3 which is coming to our local dealer in May but currently drive a 2018 Mazda 2 which is plenty big enough for me.
Does anyone know if there will be a new 2 similar to the new 3 and if so have any idea of time-scale for release?

There will always be something new and better coming out in the future. I would guess Mazda would try to get the new technology in the upcoming 3 into the other models as soon as they can, however, I would be they would work on the SUVs and possibly the 6 before the 2.
Yesterday, I found myself pondering a new 3, then I thought if I wait a few more months, I could get the new Skyactiv X, then I saw the CX-30 which appears to be a taller version of the 3 that should be out in a year or so... Today I drove my 2015 3 to work and realize that it is all I need.

Plain old Mazda 2 2010 plate in the UK. Runs like a dream for 5 years. Now just got a mazda 6 2019 plate diesel estate. Love the grill on these new ones
could be a mazda 3 to replace the mazda 2 when she conks out as well.
love them

There are Mazda2s all over the world. From what I've seen, they are pretty much mini-3s and Mazda is choosy where they sell them. From my experience with owning a 2018 Mazda 3, Mazdas are pretty much over developed and no longer have that connected feeling. I'm extremely happy with my dead-simple 2013 TWO and plan on keeping it a very long time.
