Default Passenger side low beam Headlight is not working

Hi all,

2011 Mazda 2

Last week my passenger side low beam burned out. I replaced it with a new bulb. It is still not working. Checked the fuse, it was good, but replaced both low beam headlight fuses anyway. Since the driver side low beam is working fine, relay should not be the problem.

I think I have to follow the wiring to find where it is cut off (not short, since fuse is good) .

I was wondering if anyone can share with me the headlight wiring details. The lamp socket has 3 wires, black, blue and red.

Thank you

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I’m having the same exact issue and have checked everything you stated.

yes. The problem was wire at the socket that attach to the bulb was broken. Founed by checking the harness inch by inch, rule everything else out and a bit of luck. I solder the wire right inside the socket and it worked.

Good luck
