New Mazda 2 Owner, Any advice

I have never owned a mazda before, but I will be taking ownership of a 2 yr old Mazda 2 Venture this week.

Any advice on what to look out for, or any other comments on the car itself?

Thanks

Assuming its the same as in New Zealand & OZ your wont have any issues. They are a brilliant small car.

It's a very reliable, efficient, cheap, fun to drive car. The manual transmission makes it extra fun. My only complaint is the amount of space in the trunk. I like doing outdoor stuff and the amount of space isn't quite cutting it for me, but I make it work for the time being. Otherwise it is a great choice!

I've only driven it a few times since picking it up, but as you say it is fun to drive. It's remarkably responsive in both steering and acceleration (throttle response). I drove a new ford fiesta (3k miles) 1.25 for a week while waiting for the mazda and for such similar cars they are very different. The Mazda 2 wins hands down for driving pleasure and just about everything else!!.

Sister has one, from 0 to 45 000 miles no issues whatsoever, just regular service (oil, brakes, etc). Definitely a good price/performance choice..
