Owner of a Mazda2 1.5 DE (Diesel) here from Cape Town, South Africa.

I've got my 90000km service coming up soon, and I've noticed some valves being a bit noisy when cold, so would like to have the dealership check it out. I found a maintenance manual stating that valve clearance needs to be set where applicable. But under what circumstances would this be?

Also, does anyone know what the clearances should be?
