Mazda 2 compartment

A friend has just bought a RHD Mazda Demio that has a compartment under the drivers side sun visor which has a hinged flap.We cannot work out what purpose it has and there is no reference to it in the manual. Can anyone tell me what it’s for?

Most likely it was a electronic Toll device.

Either a GPS tracker or Toll tracker/counter device.
