Default Mazda 2 bearing noise.

My 2010, 140k has a bearing noise, mostly on left hand steering, thought it was the wheel bearing but it and the other 3 are smooth, so I'm thinking could it be the diff bearings, I'm getting a little noise with on right hand steering and straight line. Any one gave any knowledge of this issue.?

I would use a stethoscope to listen carefully to each wheel bearing while someone else spins the wheel as fast as they can.

Have you ever used an inexpensive db meter. It works as well plus you can actually see the failing bearing represented in a erratic or higher bb then comparing the other bearings.
I use it occasionally now after getting to try FORDs specialized sound locator they have for tracing unusual sounds from a specific model that was higher on the list of noise complaints from owners.
About the only downfall is like the other sound hearing aids you need to know what a functional part sound like vs one that is only starting to go bad. Unless naturally it is just an obvious bad noise.
