Mazda 2 2008 manual gearbox inspection level location
Hi there
I have had my Mazda 2 for several days.
I drained the gearbox oil today but for the life of me....I cannot find the inspection hole that dictates the maximum oil level.
I have found the one on the front of the gearbox but it allowed me to put in more oil than the 3 litres (approx) that should go in there.
I put in more than the listed amount. I will need to drain some out.
Can anyone give a novice directions and a picture of the correct level fill hole?
Much appreciated...thanks!

Hi, I'm new here but am about to do my manual MTF change too. If I understand correctly you filled not from the usual filler plug but the one above it that I didn't even know existed until recently (not sure why it's there other than perhaps an easier fill option from above through the engine bay via a hose). My understanding is that if you open the other fill plug which I expect would be the usual option, any excess fluid will flow out leaving you with the correct fluid amount, providing the car is level.
If I've got that right, the below video should help regarding its location. The language is Indonesian I think but If you skip to 5:42 a big arrow will point to its location.

Hi and thanks for your reply!
After lots of consideration, I ended up draining the new oil back out and I measured and added 3.0 litres back in through the front hole.
