'Fuel System lean' Mazda 2 2013
 

Dear all

I have a problem with my manual Mazda 2 bought in year 2013. Current Km - 92K. Have been having the engine light warning on for weeks now. Went to 2 different mechanics, both identified the problem as fuel system lean detected by connecting computer.

I have

• added fuel additive to clean the injectors
• Plugs changed at 90K
• air filter changed
• no vacuum leaks detected - by both mechanics
• throttle body cleaned - by mechanic
• readings compared to another mazda 2 (Same engine) are the same - stated by mechanic

I am also noticing quite rough idling. (thought to be the throttle body) but still rough idling after cleaning. My next step is changing the fuel filter. My mechanic says it could be an ECU update required or maybe a dirty injector.

Can please any one help? I am lost and I hate having different mechanics working on my car but so far no one seems to know how to solve the problem!:confused:
