Failed installation dash cam 2019 Mazda 2
 

2019 Mazda 2, bought in NZ brand new. Tried to install a dash cam, failed. Camera tested power by plug in cigarette lighter socket, it's working ok. Used three wires to connect in vehicle left fuse box, VCC connected constant fuse, ACC connected ignition-switched fuse, Black connected ground. Wires are all originally supplied by dash cam. Camera was not working and seemed no power. Had tested different fuses for VCC and ACC, none of them work.

Also, test this same dash cam with another vehicle (Toyota), used same methods to connect wires and fuses, it was working ok in that vehicle.

It is feeling very strange, having no ideas about the issue. Is there any protection of fuse box from connecting outside electrical devices? Anyone had this similar issue?

Using a Digital Volt/Ohm meter recheck you power leads you chose.
The information is correct IF you are acatully useing the correct proper tap ins.

Currently .... There is protection circuit in a MAZDA that can detect and disable power to any leads.

Try to start fresh when testing as if were your first time otherwise you are going to have it in your head that you did it correctly the first time. If you understand my meaning. We as humans are stubborn that way, we know we don't EVER make mistatkes. LOL
