DIY- Interior footlights LEDs
Goodmorning,
I have a Mazda 2 '09 and I want to install some LEDs under the wheel on driver's side and under the dash on passenger's side, in a way that be turned on when any door is opened. I m searching the wiring diagram or something in order to locate the cable that controls the Dome light at the roof. Does anyone can help me locate it or has any better idea? Thanx in advance.

I've been looking for something similar just to have for future reference.

I did come across this when researching places to tap the reverse wire:
It's c-03 for the bcm. I haven't found the rest of this diagram though, but I suspect it'll have what you're looking for. BCM is located under the dash on the left side I believe. c-03 is big and blue, with a white plug. Unclear which pin is for the dome, but I guess you could drop the domelight and test, or just probe them all door open vs closed.

Worst case, you can just tap into the wire at the dome light. The previous owner of my car seemed to have no issues with this approach
It'd be cool to also tap into the illumination wire to use for dimmer ambient footlights, and have the dome for full brightness (well the dome dims too, so watch for flickering...) when the door's open. Add a couple of diodes to prevent backfeeding.
