So as you can probably guess from the title, I have a 2018 mazda 2 and recently installed the android auto/apple car play unit. I'm wondering if its possible to connect wirelessly to save having to use the cable and having the wire around my gearbox. If it turns out I need wifi in the car and have my phone and car connected to the same hotspot could u also give any advice on how to turn my car into a hotspot. Thankyou in advance for any answers

 

I have this wireless unit in my 2018 Mazda 2 Sport .
Love it. Quicker to connect than the wired version

 

I didn't no you could have it wirelessly without a WiFi hotspot, the dealership never gave me the option of a wireless version
