that didn't answer my question...so someone with an i-stop equipped mazda who consistently shuts the feature off by button every time they drive is causing excess carbon buildup on intake valves?...or does this only happen when i-stop is disabled in other ways?...it seems like more carbon would be deposited on intake valves by constant starting/stopping of the engine with i-stop enabled...does having i-stop enabled clean the intake valves somehow?...how does consistently shutting i-stop off on an enabled mazda differ from the same vehicle without i-stop installed with respect to carbon buildup on intake valves?...wouldn't they build up carbon similarly?

is OP still under warranty?...

no changes needed here...no i-stop/cylinder deactivation installed on my car...wouldn't have bought it if it included those "features"...and def not wasting my time or money doing any "challenge" from random people on the internet ...my car is a tool not a hobby

Your understanding of the Mazda skyactiv engine is not only limited but you fail to understand the basic operation of a DI engine. Really its point(37) less. LOL

Your only reason form posting is to *cause disruption in a thread that up to the point your start posting provided good information.
As *you stated you would not even own a Mazda with the feature you are responding about
* quote, "no changes needed here...no i-stop/cylinder deactivation installed on my car...wouldn't have bought it if it included those "features"...and def not wasting my time or money doing any "challenge" from random people on the internet ...my car is a tool not a hobby" unquote !

Why don't specifically you but any member can contact Mazda crop direct via email and ask them about this topic and then post the exact return response on this thread!

SURE your WELCOMNE
Look dude as you said you don't even own a Mazda that has what this thread is talking about.
I on the other hand work on many Mazda's and their issues and problems in the service shop weekly . And on very rare circumstances have a service related question I have a direct line to Mazda corp Technical Service assist department for only employees of Mazda or independent certified warranty service individuals.
However as I said if you can get Mazda to state for the record that I posted something invalid or wrong on this thread please post their exact response and yours question to them as verification.

Otherwise many of us know your tactic's responding on some threads. And the prof will be in your naturally expected response to this posting!
