2007 Mazda2 - clutch replacement time?
Can anyone give me a guide to how long it would take to change the clutch in a 2007 Mazda 2?
I believe the quote we've been given is a bit excessive.

Labor time is 3.0 hours. (.50 -.75 may be added if there are physically damaged parts) You would have to convert that to what your local labor rate is for shops. As an example directly in my city average labor rate service is 235 USD . Our shop we char 225 depending on the service definition. We offer a diagnostic service 1 hour 200 and a 50% discount off that 200 diagnostic fee if we perform the service.
Then there is the part cost this can vary on the shop and what they choose to use, and customers do not always get much of a choice what they want because it can alter and effect the total cost of the clutch service.
I might add if you as a customer choose to bring in your own parts make sure you understand all the details of the service before you sign off on the service work. Many shops do not like customers bring their own parts for very valid reasons.
