vibration/rumble noise at 70kmh
my 2001 tribute will rumble/vibration at 70km if im slowly going to that speed,if i'm going by that speed fast it will shift smooth.an it shifts hard at that speed also if slowly going to that speed.i was told it might be my drive shaft to my rear end.just wanted some more opinions since i don't know anyone that i could ask for help,an i don't have the money to take it to a shop to find out.but will have to fix what the problem is when i find it.
Check your tires. My wife's Mazda Protege had a vibration around 45-55 mph and once I changed the worn out tires, the vibration disappeared.
I knew the tires were shot but thought we were getting rid of the car and didn't want to spend money on new tires.

I to have a strange "Rubbing" noise coming from the rear of my 2007 CX-7.
I don't know what it could be. The tires are all 4 new. I changed the brakes 7 months ago, and the noise began a month later. I have checked the brakes again but the noise continues. It really gets loud as I approach 50 mph and gets its loudest at 70mph.
T-Man 74, I am not sure that our problems are related but who knows.
Does anyone have information that will help on either problem?
