Default RE: Tribute 2001 cd radio in error

If I remember correctly, the owners book tells how to eject the cd's manually. My 04 radio crapped out like that. I took it to Best Buy, purchased a new stereo, had it installed and they removed the cd's for me. They also told me that the circuit board in the stereo had a crack in it that was causing the problem. An 04 that was 6000 miles out of warrenty. This worthless mazda dealer here in Lincoln, NE wouldn't reimburse me the 200 bucks for the new stereo. I have been seeing on other sites also that the Tribute stereos are having the same problems. OK I'm off my soap box now. If you have power to the unit, there is a small hole that you can push a paper clip into that will eject the cd's. I don't know where it is on the 01 models and I don't have me stereo anymore to look for it. So check the owners book, Good Luck and you might as well start looking for a new stereo.
