Default SRS Air BAg Light

Hi, i need some help concerning the Air Bag light on dash board.

I started the car and noticed that air bag light was fashing and then was solid.
i turned off the engine and restarted and noticed that it flashed 4 times paused and flashed 7 times and it repeated this for a few times until it became soild red.

I have a 2002 LX V6 Tribute and i would appreciate a feed back on what the code means.

I have gone to the dealer and was told that i had to leave the truck for them to hookup on their computer, is there something that i can do, is it a fuse? qnd no the truck was not bumped. Any feed back is truly appreciated.

Default RE: SRS Air BAg Light

great news, i check a previous posting concerning the same problem that i have and an address and phone # for Mazda Regional Center, called the # they ask me for the Vin # and was told that there's a recall for the sensor on the Mazda tribute, to take the car to a authorized dealer and they will fix it for free. Again there're a bunch of great people on this site that love to share info and suggestions, To All of you I wanto to express my Gratitude, Thanks a Million and if i ever can share some information i will do so with out hesitation.

Mtt63.

PS i will post the results as soon as i get the car looked at.
