A couple of months ago my remote door lock fob started acting up. It wouldn't lock. I'd press the button over and over again, and finally, it would lock. Never had any issues with unlocking, though.

Someone told me that the battery in my fob was failing. I replaced it. The behavior was exactly the same.

So, perhaps that fob electronics are failing methinks... I drop over to Amazon and buy two brand new fobs for about nine bux. They behave EXACTLY the same as the original key fob.

And now, I understand what is happening to me. If, after turning off the engine and closing the drivers door, I wait 20 seconds or longer, the fob locks the door every time. If I don't wait 20 seconds, the fob won't lock the door.

Simple as that... there is now a delay. I have to wait 20 seconds to lock the door now.

Where is this behavior coming from? Is there a setting that can be tweaked?
