Rear Wiper blade replacements don't fix! WTF?
 

I have a 2002 tribute and I would love some help figuring this out. I have tried twice now to buy a replacement wiper for my rear window(online warehouse and local parts store). Both times the wiper that was supposed to fit my car clearly did not. The replacement wiper is a couple inched shorter and the hinge that slips into the J hook on my wiper arm is several mm to wide. I checked for recalls but found nothing for my year. The car was bought new from the dealer by my sister so I know it was not replaced by some random spare part that fit, and the wiper blade that is on the car is an duralast so I know it's not a special order size from the dealer. What is going on?!? I have never been so annoyed by a freaking wiper blade before. Any insight would be appreciated.

Advance Auto don't charge for replacing wiper blades. You only pay for the part. Watch them have fun with it.
The packages have adapters for the various mounting systems.
