Default Lighting problem on 2007 2.3l

I recently purchased this vehicle and it seems fine, BUT I went to go out last night and discovered the tail lights and front parking lights did not work.
Checked bulbs, found rears had burnt out and replaced them. Still no lights! Checked fuses, all OK.
Also noticed dash panel lights had failed.
so it looks like either a faulty relay somewhere or a dodgy steering column lighting switch , but headlights OK.

Taking it to an auto electrician tomorrow, but does anyone have any suggestions, or has experienced this symptom previously?
I look forward to being part of this forum as I was for the Kia forum for 6 years with my last vehicle.

Thanks in advance!

Just an update. Got it to auto electrician today. Faults found: One relay faulty, 2 fuse bases broken and one wire with ground. All sorted and back with full compliment of lights! Surprising how "tied" together items are with canbus. I have learnt to leave it to the experts!

Appreciate the follow up! Glad you got it checked. Had a surprising number of faults beneath your issue.
