Default front rotors on 06 tribute

Hello, Just found this forum while working on my wifes Tribute. Very helpful and alot of information to be had here.

I did a search for rotor removal but didnt find an answer to my question. I am replacing the rotors and pads and have it torn apart down to where the rotors are ready to come off. There is a HUGE nut in the middle of the rotor on the vehicle. I didnt think I would have to remove it??? Do I or dont I, or is the rotor just rusted on there??? Hope this makes sense, and again glad to be here and thanks for the help......hopefully.

is there a hole in the rotor that has threads in it? you have to run a screw in that hole and it will help to seperate the rotor.its probably a metric screw.you might have to take that nut off,not sure how the front wheel bearing is on this car,if you try the screw first and it seperates you dont have to.if there isnt a hole in the rotor you'll have to take out the nut and replace the wheel bearings
