Default Alternators Going Bad

I have a 2005 Mazda Tribute I (4Cyl, AWD, aftermarket radio with mated adapter for radio wiring harness, no other aftermarket equipment). I am about to replace my 4th alternator. The original was replaced about 14 months ago with a rebuilt alternator. This replacement went out 4 days later. Replaced with another rebuilt alternator. This one lasted for about 14 months. Replaced again with another rebuilt alternator. That one went bad after 1 week.

Am I having bad luck or is there a problem with the electrical system.

All cables are good. No shorts or broken wiring that I have noticed. No lights or accessories remaining on, no blown fuses etc.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Sounds like your alternators are being overloaded.
First thing I would think is if your radio has a large amp on it, it may pull too much for stock type alternator.
Second thing might be a bad battery.
Let us know what you find.

No amplifier. Standard 100watt radio. Good new battery too. Go figure!

If anybody needs to replace an alternator I know how to do it within 2 hrs!!!
Getting too good at this.
