08 tribute with the 2.3L has been giving me a chattering or rattling sound, but only at specific times. It will show up around 1600-1700rpm (typical cruise for a 45mph road). But, it only shows up with a certain amount of throttle input. If I take my foot of the gas, sound goes away. If I give even a hair more throttle past that point, the rattling disappears as well. There’s no knocking with the noise, luckily. Oil changes are current and timing and drive belts were recently replaced. Any ideas?
