2001 Tribute P0401 p0301 p305 codes

My girlfriends tribute has the codes mentioned in the title. Could the main problem be attributed to the P0401 code? I did find a pinched hose from coming from the engine to the EGR...fixed it and cleared code, but came back on. The tribute idles a bit rough sometimes, and when you are lightly touching the gas it is rough, but when you depress the pedal to give it some gas, it goes great. She lives quite a way from me, but I will be seeing her this weekend, and I plan on looking at it. I find it hard to believe that the cylinder #1 and #5 codes are there too. Any ideas would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

With the age of the vehicle it does not surprise me you would have cylinder misfire codes. New plugs often solve that type of code. EGR valves also degrade with age, so no surprise there. Did this combination of codes come up all at the same time?

Normally I would replace the plugs first and then see if the EGR problem resolves itself. With 2 cylinder codes and the vehicle age I would feel comfortable that those are legit codes by themselves.

The rear plugs are difficult to get to (takes time to disassemble all the parts to get to the plugs).

The EGR (and associated control solenoid) is very easy to get to. They will cost you about $80 or so at Advance Auto.

I did read somewhere that with the P0401 code, that it creates a lean condition and can cause misfires on different cylinders. I have cleared the codes and they'll come back in around 80 or so miles of driving. I will replace the plugs and inspect the coil packs. Not sure what's involved with removing the back plugs, but from what I understand it's not easy. I don't get to see her more than once a week, so I'll have to plan it the next time I'm there. Thanks for your help!

I kept getting all these codes,I would read them and then wipe them.
My tribute is 2001 3.0L 90Kmiles and runs on LPG.
These codes kept coming on after 40-60miles,I just thought the tribute was getting
a little bit tired.
Then I changed the engine oil as I had not changed it for 12months,Hey presto!!
All fault codes have not come back!!
I have now covered 3k and I am religiously going to keep the engine oil in tip top condition, changing every 5k.
How strange is this.
It might be worth a try!!
Thanks Guy
