2001 tribute 4 cylinder, antifreeze leak, top radiator hose side

Hey all. There is a box on the drivers side of the engine block. The top radiator hose and a couple others are attached. I am leaking antifreeze from the top of the box. There is a sensor connected, so I assume that is a temperature sensor. All I can find is that it is a Ford part, but no number. Does anyone know what the name or part number might be?
Thanks North Mainer

RE: 2001 tribute 4 cylinder, antifreeze leak, top radiator hose side

The only part that I can think of that would be where the upper radiator hose attaches to on drivers side of block would be the thermostat case. The upper hose actually attaches to the thermostat housing which is in turn bolted to the thermostat case with 2 bolts. There is an '0' ring sealing the case to block connection as well as an '0' ring between the t-stat housing and case. Could either of these be leaking or is the case actually cracked. Part number for the thermostat case is yf09-15-176b and it does come with a new 'o' ring for the block connection. If you are pulling that to replace then might consider replacing the thermostat and housing '0' ring as well. T-stat is yf09-15-171 and '0' ring is separate with part number
