I have a 2004 RX8 that is having start up issues. My car will start fine when cold but if I shut it off when hot it won't start. I have to wait an hour to get it to run. I have one code that' with my o2 sensor. Sometimes it might dog down when driving. Could my o2 sensor make it have these issues or is there somthing else that might be wrong.

Whats the mileage? I would take it to a specialised shop that has a rotary compression tester & get a compression test carried out. It could be that the apex seals are on their last legs.

Whats the service history like?

Is that the original miles on the engine?

RX-8 rotary engines seem to start dying after 100,000 miles.

I just got the car. So there was no service record on the car. As far as I know those are the actual miles of the car.
