Default Used RX-8

Hello im looking for used Mazda RX-8 and i wanna know more what i must look when i buying. RX-8 is 192km model, 2004, 90.000km, everything work great for now but probably i will must have big servis on motor or not yet? I know its delicate motor, but seller really need money and he can sell it for 2500eur and thats really cheap for that car here in Slovenia. Others are around 4000-5000eur. What do you suggest? Thanks for all informations.

The rotary motor in the RX-8 is such a wild card; some seem to easily be able to hit 150,000 km while others are done with only half as many kilometers on the clock. If you can find one in your area, you might want to take the car to an expert in Mazda's RX line of cars for a checkout.

The above said, as much as I loved driving an old lady-friend's RX-7, I would never own one, even if it was free. For my part, I'd rather have a MX-5 Miata; just as much fun, far-FAR less maintenance requirements.

What he said.

I would recommend getting a compression test done. Apart from Mazda, only specialised Rotary shops would have a rotary compression tester.
