HI, new to RX-8 ownership, new to forum.
I have a coolant leak that is really strange, car was parked inside heated garage, I found a leak coming from under the car running out near the drivers door, investigated, and it appears to come from the passenger side sub frame , started checking for leaks at every hose, fittings etc. is it possible the heater core could leak out of the AC drain, and somehow run behind the heat shield and end up almost 3 feet back along the sub frame rail, it appears that is where it was actively leaking, I filled up the coolant tank, and now I can't see an active leak after car warmed up while up on hoist. there is absolutely no odor or leak into the passenger compartment which is the normal place to see a heater core leak, any ideas where else to look, will try to post a picture tomorrow. I have a track day in late march and need to get his corrected, i don't care too much about the heat so I can bypass and see what happens, but really need root cuase so I don't lose time if it leak at the track.
