Is anyone using a sohn Adaptor on their rx8 does it work well are you happy with it.

 

If you run mineral oil ( which is recommended & used by Mazda ) and you carry out regular oil changes, you shouldn't need to worry.

 

So you know the Sohn adaptor blocks off the omp and you feed fresh 2 stroke oils through it from a bottle mounted to the firewall

 

I understand it. But why do you think its necessary?

 

I think it would be a good addition so you now burn 2 stroke clean oil all the time and you should also not build up carbon.

 

Sounds like a good idea, so it uses the standard Mazda system?

I don't know the indepth workings on it, but I assume, from factory it uses engine oil feed from the engine oil pump, via a solenoid/valve? Does the sohn have its own pump to create pressure?

I'm kind of curious about its operating.

 

The Sohn is run off the omp with the same engine pump. It lives in front of the omp. look up sohn adaptor for rx8. Once it is installed you can run two stroke premix to burn instead of the 4 stroke oil from the oil pan.
