RX8 192 Touring tested

Ok so the price of the car here in Ireland would make you barf.

It's the test that counts!

$55,000?!! You gotta be friggin' kidding me. I'd never pay that much for any Mazda, let alone a standard sub 200bhp RX8. [>:]

I guess it's all relative, you pay a lot more/different(VAT) taxes included in the price of your cars than we do. Before buying my RX-8 I looked seriously at an Audi TT. The new version was just coming out and the local dealer was taking orders and making a waiting list, but not dealing in prices at all. Do I think my RX8 is as good or better than an equivalent TT, yes I do, especially as equipped. But if I were willing to spend $55/60k I would buy a Cayman if I wanted only 2 seats, or a full bore completely maxed out 3.2 Premium Plus quattro 250 HP if I really wanted 4 seats, titanium stuff, Alcantara etc. etc etc. But at $32k the RX-8 is about as good as it gets. Of course some guys are stuck with basically family cars and soup can exhausts. When they buy a car, low cost and rear booster seats are a major feature.
