Default help!!!

I have a 2004 rx8 manual 1.3L rotary. It has about 46.5k miles on it. One day after a long trip, i was almost home when my check engine light comes on. I took it to meineke today and it pushed out this code: P0455. This code means an evaporative emission system leak. I know that a loose gas cap can cause this so therefore i took my gas cap off, unplugged the battery, and put the gas cap back on then reconnected the battery. The check engine light is now off but i cannot turn my DSC on or off and my low/no traction light is on. What does this mean? Are these two a result of me unplugging my battery? Is there anything that I can do residentially rather than having to take my car back to the dealer (even though it is still under warranty). All of your prompt responses are appreciated.

Default RE: help!!!

Disconnecting the battery will do that every time guiltyox.Simple solution. With engine idling and steering wheels straight ahead, turn the steering wheel clockwise to full lock, back counterclockwise to full lock, and then back to centered. Turn key off and then start back up and all should be back to normal. Just have to teach your steering computer where center is and how much is full turn from side to side.
