Default DSC / Traction Control on/off (non-owner question)

I'm considering an RX8 for my next car, so I've been doing a little research & reading your forums.

I wanted to know if the DSC / Traction Control can be turned off - I searched & found this post...

https://www.mazdaforum.com/m_39381/tm.htm

...so I'm 99% sure it can be disabled - does the switch turn off both components (DSC AND T/C)?

I would like to spend some time on the trackwith this car & I need to make sure I can disable the DSC & T/C.

Thanks!!

Franko

Found the answer here:

http://rotaryinsider.com/rx8-42.html

You actually have to hold the DSC Off button for longer than 2 seconds (which causes a blinking error light on the dash) to disable ALL DSC features.

It's also apparently not advisable to disable DSC when you're accustomed to it keeping your fanny pointed in the right direction...
