Lookin' GOOD, Sheldon!!! Very clean. Verrryy NICE!!
Was the LS fender/door repainted at one time? There seems to be a color shift in one or more of these pics. 'Could be the camera, or angle I suppose?
Either way I have no doubt that given time, you'll be repainting her anyway.
I didn't think it looked horrible... at least not in pictures, but it is noticable.
Oh well, when you're around as long as that car has been you're bound to have a few battle scars. Trust me. I know!!

Nice Sheldon.
That dashboard and center stack could only have come from an 80's car. The orange and green-yellow give it away.
Looks like you're ready to do a rear wiper delete?
I would think an LS1 to be too big and wayyyy too heavy for the front of a 7. It would almost certainly overpower the chassis w/o a lot of mod to add stiffness to it... and weight.
Then there would be the suspension, transmission, final drive and certainly brakes to upgrade too.
By the time you got done with it all, you may as well have channeled a 7 body over a running truck frame/chassis.
Their are 3 ls1 RX7's in Indianapolis. I have talked to the guys at the track and they love the engines and the cars ARE FAST! I have a car that I need to use the running gear from. I think this car is from Indiana.

Yeah. Like I said.... nose heavy, over-powered and squirrelly.
The LS1 is a GREAT engine, but to put it in a 7 series would take a lot more than a simple engine swap to get it right.
I'd bet in a couple a' years, maybe less, the owner of that one will be seeing stress cracks in the chassis. That is if he doesn't wreck it and kill himself first.
