WOW!! They look awfully blue for 4.5k's. I am surprised.
They look a lot like my 55w, 6k's.

I see you're making some serious progress on her though. Be sure to update this thread and keep us informed. (I'm sure you will anyway.)

Very nice, Sheldon. Is it LOUD inside the cabin? What's left of the OE exhaust, if anything?
Your shifts need work, IMO, though. 2-3rd and 3-4th seemed to be a little rough.

Nicely done, but why only 179hp?

Before the REAL modding began, and with a leaky exhaust too.
That's what I suspect at least. I am not a rotor head so I may be mistaken.
Besides, it is a rotary. Even the RX8's w/the Renesis are only 185(?) from the factory?

That 179 is to the wheels. Like Rich said, this was done mainly stock with a leaky exhaust. Only mod being the K&N intake. Do not forget that these cars were rated at 182hp at the flywheel. The car has not seen the Dyno after the mods yet. To answer your question Rich, this car is actually more quiet than my '88 NA RX7 was. Nothing of the stock exhaust is left. It is 3" from the turbo all the way back to the muffler.

-Sheldon.

Oh, I don't find that hard to believe. The turbo itself acts a bit like a muffler, so it would likely be quieter w/open pipes compared to a comparably equipped NA.
