RE: Idle Problems

that is normal i believe. a car works harder when it is turned on which is why it idles at 2000 rpms, but when everything is working and down to normal operation the car can idle down because not as much power is need to run the equipment. just saving you gas

RE: Idle Problems

My 93 Idles at about three thousand rpms for the first minute I start it when its cold. i always thought something was wrong woth it but then it goes down in between 1500 and 2000 rpms. When i start it you can also here the turbos warming up. They shoot out about a minute of high pressure air as well. The problem i have is when i stop at stop lights and once the car is warmed up it idles too low. sometimes it barely stays to where it can run and there have been a few times its stalled. Do you think this is just an idle problem i can fix or should it go to a shop.
