how much is my 87 rx7 turbo worth?
 

I purchased my 87 rx7 turbo new. I had a new turbo installed in 95.drove it until 99'. i continued to have problems with the plugs flooding & the idle control so i parked it in the garage & basically forgot about it. Now i would like to sell it but have no idea how to determine the value. It has 112,000 miles, the body & interior is in excellent shape, but with it not being used in so long i,m sure there are mechanical problems in addition to the ones that i was having when i parked it. I installed a new battery and it would turn over but would not run, but that's the extent of my mechanical knowledge. ANY IDEAS?

The problem with doing that is that the apex sills are made of graphite.The same stuff as a pencil lead.By leaving it parked all the time the oil drys up around them and breaks them when they finally move,or it just drys up.These engines use oil to seal the combution chambers.Try changing the oil and dont try to start the engine for more than ten seconds at a time.Also these engines will flood and or lock up if shut off before they warm up to normal operating temp.All that aside if you can get it running right then you should be able to pull 3 grand from it easy,or you could just give it to me.lol
