What is it (on lower mount)?

I noted a component on my lower mount that looked loose. It's seems to be some kind of tensioner or damper. It's circled in the pic attached. Sorry for the poor quality. I looked in a Mazda parts manual and it doesn't appear to be a part of the mount itself. I browsed around some other components and decided to simply ask.

Can't tell from the picture too well, but I don't see anything which would qualify as loose. What kind of a car do you have? Year, model, engine, and transmission options would be helpful.

It's a 2003 Protege5 with Auto. Here's a slightly better pic. The Red is the part I'm asking about. The Blue is the Lower Mount. The bar in the center of the red can almost be puled out and wobbles quite a bit. One end goes into a rubber bushing that's cracked. I'll get better pics later if this isn't enough.

OK, found another link that nailed it. It's a roll damper specific to the Automatics. The diagrams I looked at showed a shape nothing like the part so I wasn't sure.

It's a roll damper or torque damper. It reduces engine and driveline vibration. It's called a
Damper, Dynamic - Engine Mount. Part Number: B28V39990 Supersession(s): B28V-39-990 https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.maz...478310cde1.jpg |
Thanks
Mine is completely broken! Could not find anything about it except here. Thanks for the part number, you're a life saver!
