Default washer fluid light

I have a '94 Protege that's about to turn 70,000 miles. Last year the washer fluid pump quit working and the light on the dash came on. I had the pump replaced but the light stayed on. Any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks

Thank you for your reply, JP. Since this car is so old, I never thought of codes. I'll try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a bit. If that doesn't work, I'll mention the code thing to my mechanic.

It might not have a direct OBDII plug in but I'm sure their still is a way to clear it.
