speed limiter chip Q

does anyone know if there is a speed limiter chip in the 2001 dx model? if so then what speed does it limit up to?

the reason why i ask is because my 01 dx has a hard time going over 90, i think it might be because of a chip, but if its not, then what might it be?

thanks

RE: speed limiter chip Q

i doubt its a speed limiter chip. i have a 1998 lx (1.8L engine) and i had it upto 160 km/h the other day (which is around 100 mph) without trouble. the only reason i slowed down was that it was getting hard to handle, otherwise it would have kept speeding up i think.

you got a dx 2001, for myself I have a 2001LX 2.0L, and the speed limit it's at 178 km/h (wich is 110 mph)(I know, I tried it) , you said you were having difficulty to go over 90mph, I don't think any chip will change something for this,
