Someone Know what is Max Offset of 2002 MP5

Hi guys... i'm thinking to udgrade my 2002 protege5 shoes!, well... coming from factory with 16x6 or 16x6.5... i want to go 17x7... but a friend of mine told me... he check and i can install up to 18x7.5.

I check a really nice PIAA super rossa 18x7.5 i guess is +40 or +42 offset... someone what can give some info about it.because if i go wrong i can hurt the suspention and the transmition!...thx guys

I am not sure what the max offset is but here is mine and I am sitting on 20's...
